 Media is the medium of intellectual and cultural currency. By currency we mean the flow of information, innovation, news, education and entertainment. Advances in the distribution of interactive textual, audio and visual information have revolutionized the human culture. GCI hopes to leverage the convergent Web 2.0 movement for the sake of inculcating sustainability into human behavior.

Working with our private partner Circa Next, Inc. under the working title “Green Cast (GTV)” we hope to develop the appropriate infrastructure around content development , production and distribution that advances sustainability literacy in native languages.

Green Cast Productions Inc. (GTV) is a eco-edutainment production form, based on the classic news, entertainment and educational media production model. GTV is structured into four interdependent divisions: Advertising Sales, Live News Broadcast, Original Feature Production, Education Media Production and Content Licensing. 

GTV produces, distributes and monetizes independent news, entertainment and education media. GTV content is specifically focused on the deep principles of environmental Responsibility and social Respect (eR/sR). Today, important issues such as green business, social justice, women’s rights, permaculture, community development, climate adaptation, holistic health and environmental sustainability are just beginning to go mainstream. GTV will establish these issues as “the new normal”. GTV will broadcast  with a fair and balanced, yet decidedly conscious woman friendly/populist/pro-green business voice/point of view.  GTV leverages Web 2.0 convergent technology to establish a television channel initially broadcast on the internet and mobile platforms. Should the market allow, GTV will make a bid for its’ own cable/satellite channel or syndicate to an established outlet. Our audience will include several target psycho-demographics which cross-over from the LOHAS, alternative, conscious, and progressive market to more conservative “green friendly” markets.  Using the CNN model, GTV will deliver “24/7” newsformat, in-depth interviews, live event coverage, original features to include live and on-demand video continuing education training.  Content will include topics like: organic  farmers, veterans, sustainable thought leaders, raw food cooking and nutrition, permaculture, holistic healing, body movement, meditation, children, women’s issues, planetary issues, and a highlighting of non-profit organizations in order to provide proof of “good news”. Our content model is based on syndicated and licensed news purchase and partnership agreements. GTV will phase into an independent journalism model and original content development.

The Pay Per View Media Distribution division produces live webinars, pay-per-view and educational tutorials on a large variety of relative topics. Our operations manual is a business system designed to produce the maximum number of videos per week while maintaining a rigid standard for quality. Using this system, we will generate the revenue needed to allow us flexibility in accepting other projects more commonly associated with a production company, leading into the next division.

Original Feature Production Division (OFPD) provides specialized production on a wide range of hand-picked projects. This division creates videos of global interest for Internet and television focusing highly in the areas of social justice and women’s issues, videos to promote area green businesses, and travel videos for green tour companies. We will develop this division into a self-sufficient branch within the first year.  This division markets the stories of green news and sustainability. Those stories are sold to large market tv stations nationwide, with the eventual establishment of a channel dedicated to conscious media. This division is the heart of GTV, and the reason for incorporation.  We are ready to revolutionize television news programming. Selecting only the best, we will gather an impressive selection of “green” news stories produced by ourselves and others.
